Andrew Haruna (PhD), a Professor of Languages and Linguistics of over ten years, consummate academic and passionate researcher of international recognition. He earned his BA from the University of Maiduguri.
He proceeded to the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) of the prestigious University of London for his MA and PhD. Professor Haruna, a lecturer of over 35 years, has led several research projects, both locally and
internationally with world renowned institutions such as Dino Leventis Foundation, SOAS, University of London, Goethe lnstitut, German Research Foundation, Austrian Science Fund and University of Vienna amongst others.

He has extensive knowledge of the dynamics of North-eastern language evolution in modern Nigeria, from empirical research. Beyond academia, Professor Haruna has been a consultant to USAID, UNESCO, National Council
for Arts and Culture, University of Daresalam amongst others.

Professor Haruna, currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Bingham University, Karu Nasarawa State, is a Member of the Technical Committee on the National Language Policy, a former Governing Council Chairman, Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi, was a member of the 2014 National Conference and was the Coordinator of the German Academic Exchange Services Overseas (DAAD) Special Language Immersion Programme in Nigeria.

Prof Andrew Haruna is a Fellow of the Society of Project Management and Development Professionals International and also serves as a Member of the Advisory Board.

He is happily married with children.
